I guess I liked this a bit more than you did. I do agree that some of it was pretty dull. It should have been shorter than it actually was. And Depp didn't do much for me here. He was going through the motions IMO.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Dark Shadows, let's hope its one of the good ones. As far as this one goes, I thought it was a total bore, If I remember correctly, I dozed off a few times. It just wasnt engaging as you so well put in your review. Too bad, I was hoping this one was going to be one of Burton's good ones.

I did like Depp in this one though, I liked his character and his little dance, but thats about as far as I went in liking this one.

I gotta agree with everything you said here, as I feel pretty much exactly the same. Though I really like Anne and Johnny, I don't like how their roles were carried out. The only time I really liked the Mad Hatter scenes was when he became utterly depressed and stared off into time. I really wanted to like this movie, but it was just too off.
