But I especially love your shout-out to "Makin' It." In the meantime if you like zombies as well as werewolves check out Dead Beat by Remy Porter :)

http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Beat-Remy-Porter/dp/0956373364/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1277959751&sr=1-1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717349721694216715.post-1437235248010560832010-08-15T03:07:28.871-04:002010-08-15T03:07:28.871-04:00@S.Y.D. - Yeah, it took me almost 4 years but I di...@S.Y.D. - Yeah, it took me almost 4 years but I did it. And 8 reviews is better than nothing. Thanks!

@Carl - I had no idea this is your favorite horror film. I can definitely see why. I think it is the best werewolf film ever made, even though the original Wolf Man comes close. I may have to do more werewolf films, even if most of them suck nards.Fred [The Wolf]https://www.blogger.com/profile/03208803636786210066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717349721694216715.post-65232865161091504082010-08-14T11:10:19.054-04:002010-08-14T11:10:19.054-04:00Spot on review, this is my single favorite Horror ...Spot on review, this is my single favorite Horror film of all time, and I consider it to be one of the best made in the genre and certainly one of the (if not the) greatest werewolf films. But I would also put THE HOWLING, DOG SOLDIERS, GINGER SNAPS, WOLFEN, SILVER BULLET, and A COMPANY OF WOLVES in that list of "good" werewolf films.

And yeah, I was gonna put a Dr. Pepper joke, but I couldn't really fit it in anywhere. So I went with "Makin' It" instead.

Thanks again!Fred [The Wolf]https://www.blogger.com/profile/03208803636786210066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717349721694216715.post-46769467755292652142010-08-12T01:34:10.747-04:002010-08-12T01:34:10.747-04:00BTW, Congrats on your 350th review! I remember all tooo well his Dr. Pepper commercials, so the first time I saw AWL I yelled out "Hey, that's the Dr. Pepper guy!!"
I love this film and totally agree that has the best werewolf transformation scene EVER! I tried once to sit through American Werewolf in Paris and didn't last more than 15 minutes. I never bothered to watch any of the Howling flicks past the first one. I am curious to know what your list of good werewolf movies would be. I would have AWL, The Howling, Silver Bullet, Dog Soldiers, the Ginger Snaps series, and A Company of Wolves. I love the dream like quality of A Company of Wolves and the whole Red Riding Hood thing. And even though it's not a werewolf film, I would include Brotherhood of the Wolf in this list, as it is about a overly large killer "wolf" though we never truly know what kind of beast it truly is.
Dreaded Dreams
Petunia ScareumAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8717349721694216715.post-4989782507605810442010-08-11T21:37:54.183-04:002010-08-11T21:37:54.183-04:00I got it right!!! John Landis is great at mixing comedy with horror. Oh and "Makin' It", one of the best disco songs EVER!!! Great review!Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16750937782240207576noreply@blogger.com
